Elizabeth Dalton resigns from President

WASHINGTON DC, USA - On February 20th, President of the United States Elizabeth Dalton resigned from her office, leaving the White House with the highest disapproval rating in American history and the destruction of Washington in her efforts to become the owner of the Oval Office.

Dalton claimed in her resignation statement that she wished to depart due to the position being "very stressful" - an unimpressive discovery as the position of President of the United States, in itself, is an extremely difficult occupation, much less leading a revolution to gain entry into the same office and subsequently enraging thousands of American citizens who believe in the Constitution.

Dalton also stated, "I have to remind myself that this is a game and personal decisions should triumph overall", thus hinting that real-life affiliations may be interfering in her ability to hold the office.

Dalton had become the target of numerous social media attacks launched by former American citizens made political prisoners after she launched the takeover of Washington. She had also undercome severe criticism from the international community for her role in transforming the United States into a dictatorship. Under her leadership, the United States had the most decimating administration in history - military membership decreased from almost fifty to zero, the country was exiled from both the European Union and the United Nations, and lost alliances with dozens of countries.

Many former politicians have also openly criticized Dalton for her immediate resignation. Former Secretary of Defense and political prisoner Jennifer Hartson (who was one of the most vocal advocates for the removal of the United States from various international coalitions) tweeted, "@RBLXLizDalton Thanks for playing. #RememberRusso." Robert Fitzgerald tweeted, "Disheartened to see democracy fail time & time again in my United States – @RBLXLizDalton is a disgrace to RoPolitics for resigning again."

In the meantime, AmericanPatron has decided to host presidential elections, as he too has felt the crushing pressure from other countries for his bias and corruption in the Dalton revolution. However, top candidates include Calihighs and Reptoeslicer - not a very impressive turnout of candidates. With all good politicians residing in exile on the shores of England, it is very unlikely that the United States will meet a capable president.
