Rep. Stefan Kovac wins House Speakership

WASHINGTON DC, USA - In the late afternoon of February 11th, Democratic Representative Stefan Kovac (who won the vacancy elections with 48% of his electorate), was nominated for and won the position of Speaker of the House against Democratic Representative Brad Reford, 5-3.

Reford has been in Congress since January 26th, and Kovac was one of the freshest legislators to be welcomed to the legislative branch. However, the Speaker had resigned from his position as Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court (to be replaced by former Vice President and veteran politician Terence Walsh) in order to pursue his career in the House, and has been a large figurehead in American politics since the nation's inception.

Kovac also initially ran as the Attorney General for the Mackio & Russo Campaign, but was later replaced with Alexander Redington, with his approval. Kovac was moved to the Supreme Court, where he served for a little over one month, et cetera et cetera.

Speaker Kovac has not yet chosen a Speaker pro tempore - but has reached out to congressmen and requested that they add him as a contact on external communication services. He also announced that the swearing in ceremony of newly elected representatives will commence as soon as possible.
