United States re-establishes bond with United Kingdom

LONDON, UK - On February 8th, President of the United States Patrick Russo met with British Prime Minister William Woodland to discuss the strenuous relations their respective countries have together.

Earlier in mid-late January, the United States was torn between alliances with Italy and the United Kingdom. Ongoing hostilities and patriotic senses caused during the Clements administration had already damaged the diplomatic bond that the US had with Britain. When the United States refused to involve itself in a war between Italy, Somalia, and England, the UK had cut the last straw.

Foreign relations were completely severed a few weeks after the incident. The State Department worked vigorously to attempt to amend diplomacy with Britain, but to no avail.

Earlier this evening, President Russo flew towards London on Air Force One. During the flight, he contacted Prime Minister Woodland and spoke extensively regarding restoring the bond between America and England. After the airplane touched ground at Heathrow Airport, the President continued speaking with Woodland behind closed doors in Parliament Hill.

The conversation was evidently fruitful: President Russo announced to the public that relations had been restored with the UK shortly after the lengthy meeting. Although neither the White House nor Parliament Hill have released any information on what this means for either country, this certainly abolishes one of the largest smears on Russo's performance in office thus far - the failure to repair damage in his defeated effort to go to war with Somalia.
