Russo Administration January 2015: In Review

WASHINGTON DC, USA - The month of January was a milestone for the Russo administration - all thresholds achieved in these critical first four weeks would allow tripled development and augmentation for all areas in later months, while the wasting of precious time would result in the White House falling short of its boasted goals. The State of the Union gave the positive highlights as it is President Russo’s way of improving public opinion and advertising himself - but how far did the administration truly go?

According to many, the months leading up to January 1st slogged by as President Clements perpetuated his “laid back” form of governance. The military preserved an international reputation of being weak and frail (especially with four members). The Supreme Court comprised of one Justice. Washington’s activity was stagnant. Unemployment was at a seemingly irreversible high.

The American people had their eyes set on former Vice President Mackio, who won the popular vote, garnering 96% of the electorate in the Presidential election. Mackio had been planning a fresh start for the United States for months prior to her landslide victory alongside a fully staffed Cabinet, sub-cabinet, and executive officials.

But Elizabeth Mackio’s first political bombshell after being elected was not policy based, rather more personally based: which resulted in her need to suddenly resign, vacating the office of President of the United States-elect.

The American people had to look to her successor, Patrick Russo, to take the reins and implement the drastic reform devised jointly by him and Mackio.

Then President-elect Russo had to make a decision on who his Vice President would be. Rather quickly, he chose Terence Walsh, former Speaker of the House. Walsh was not in office for long, as the administration suffered through the assassination of the Vice President of the United States.

Shortly after this event, President Russo nominated then Secretary of Homeland Security, Jack Rockwell, to take the office of Vice President, hoping he would have a better sense of security and self-management. Former Secret Service director and President of the United States Spietato Romano became replacement secretary.

The top priorities of the administration consisted of a stable military built from the ground up, a full Supreme Court, enhanced experiences at Washington, a better economy, and a functioning State Department. In one month, President Russo appears to have achieved the majority of these goals.

Prior to January 1st, the United States Armed Forces had no enlisted members. Since the fall of the Marine Corps (established by President William Eisenhower, now Secy. Spietato Romano), the military had been seeing a gradual but continuous decline in membership until reaching an ultimate and unsurpassable zero.

Both Russo and Mackio (as well as Secretary of Defense Jennifer Hartson) had campaigned vigorously on what they claimed to be a meticulously planned out military system, in which over fifty members are enlisted as of February 7th.

The structure setup consisted of the disestablishment of the Marine Corps and the establishment of the Army, which is divided into three main corps - the III Armored Corps, the V Infantry Corps, and the XVIII Airborne and Mountaineering Corps. This would exist alongside a group for the Armed Forces, which would contain ranks for paygrades E1 through O10 and other administrative positions (these provisions were summarized in the administration’s long-awaited PEMRAA bill - the Preliminary Enrichment Military Reformation and Addition Act of 2015).

The Armed Forces and Department of Defense continue to require extensive development, according to the Russo administration, but have come a considerably long way in the short month that the White House has had to revolutionize what it believes, will eventually become the strongest military in the world.

The Supreme Court - being the highest federal court in the land - received minimal attention from almost all previous administrations, while its responsibilities and public role in the United States deteriorated over time.

In the President’s third day in office, four Supreme Court Justices were nominated with the assistance of Chief Justice Cbooty, and were swiftly confirmed by the Senate - restoring the integrity of the Supreme Court and allowing the five justices to cohesively work together to hear cases regarding the Constitution.

The Supreme Court now holds multiple trials each week, ruling on various issues from legislation legalities to the constitutional requirements of those holding public office.

After Russo resigned from Secretary of State under the Clements administration, international alliances and relations were at a historical low - tensions drastically soared with China, while the United States established coalitions with countries such as North Korea and those of the Middle East.

Under Russo’s new term, the State Department experienced an increase in moral and utilitarian alliances with over thirty nations across the globe, and has personally jump-started the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, while committing towards the United Nations. State Secretary Haynes (DrReli) has set up a complex ambassador system, presently employing seven delegates, to represent American interests in almost all areas of the world.

Furthermore, the United States has been given a formal embassy in Rome, Italy, to symbolize what the White House considers a “strong, ethical bond” with the origin of the core of western society.

However - this stronger bond with Italy was coupled with a cut-off from the United Kingdom. Newly elected Prime Minister and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party recently informed President Russo and Secretary Haynes that their relationship with the United States would be terminated in the interest of establishing a new alliance with Nightgaladeld’s USA.

According to the January 2015 State of the Union, February will focus mainly on extrapolating on local interests at home - building a small business-centered economy, expanding news outlets, increasing education opportunities, enhancing numbers and performance of the military, and, of course, improving the infrastructure of Washington.
