Speaker of Congress JamesClements resigns under pressure

WASHINGTON DC, USA - Former President of the United States and Speaker of Congress, JamesClements, resigned on January 8th from his post as Speaker and as congressman.

Clements stated, "I leave not because I feel wrong, but because I do not wish to be a target of persecution." Public assumption indicates that Clements resigned under pressure from an impeachment order which was put up for vote the same day by

Representative PearTime, which had gained traction through eight votes in support of removal and only four against (one of which was his own).

Clements previously stated, "I don't believe I should be put on the stake for an action out of my control." and his public partner, Representative CommMillard also attempted to consolidate congressmen by declaring, "The legality of such a vote is not in question, rather the morals behind it. I do not find it appropriate to remove JamesClements on the basis of actions by AmericanPatron."

It is public belief that Clements was closely tied with AmericanPatron's campaign to institute a new constitution. Although Clements made full attempt to deflect the blindsiding impeachment charges - mainly through denying any involvement with AmericanPatron's equally blindsiding constitution - he has not made any attempt to refute allegations of coercing his cabinet (an incident for which he was impeached, but not removed, during his time as President) or PearTime's accusations of immorally seeking power.

"JamesClements has been caught in a cycle of corruption. From coercing his own cabinet, to receiving aid from AmericanPatron to gain control of the legislative branch, Clements has both broken the law and attempted to take over a branch of the government," Congressman PearTime stated. "We cannot afford [for] such an unpopular and corrupt individual to run this Congress . . . I am proposing us to vote on the ousting of Jamesclements as Speaker of the Congress, as well as his expulsion from the United States Congress."

Eight congressmen have since nominated LukeSolace (the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, when it existed) to take the office instead, recognizing his "experience and motivation" for the position. Solace was one of the most passionate and explicitly vocal politicians on his stance against the new constitution when it was "ratified".
