Congressional Expulsion Act of 2014 declared unconstitutional

WASHINGTON DC, USA - At 1:50 AM EDT this morning, Chief Justice Vincent Miele introduced the fifth Supreme Court ruling of Miele’s term to the public. The ruling declared the Revised Congressional Expulsion Act of 2014 unconstitutional.

Miele cited Article I, Section V of the Constitution as the basis for the unlawfulness of

the legislation. The expulsion act - which has been spearheaded by Senators Giantsboy97 and Sorciz - was willingly abandoned by both congressmen after the Supreme Court ruling, and stated under Section I that members expelled from Congress would be prevented from running again for six months.

Article I Section V of the Constitution dictates “If any Representative or Senator, is expelled or otherwise formally removed from office, except through resignation, the guilty party shall have to vacate his office, and must then for the remainder of his elected term as well as an additional full term, be ineligible to run for any other public office of trust or honor under the United States.”.

Chief Justice Miele stated that, had the bill been an amendment to the Constitution, the ruling would not have been necessary. However, it was only legislation to address an issue that had already "been handled" by our country's founding document.

Stefan Kovac, otherwise known as Giantsboy97 (and current Supreme Court nominee) mentioned that “Looking back at it now, I don’t know how I could have been stupid enough to put it on the floor.”

With four Supreme Court nominees being voted on by the United States Senate, it is likely that Chief Justice Miele will not be making anymore Supreme Court rulings by himself.
