Russo Administration releases PEMRAA legislation

WASHINGTON DC, USA - While campaigning for the December 2015 presidential election earlier in December, ElizabethMackio and her staff made a large emphasis on the importance that military reform will play in the administration's agenda, come January 1st (the day of inauguration).

After her unexpected resignation as President-Elect, and the transfer of power over to her original Vice Presidential candidate, PatrickRusso, it is unconfirmed whether he intends to keep the military as an utmost concern for his time in office. However, Russo has stated numerous times that he and Mackio shared the same concerns and ideals, and that he intends to keep his agenda as close to Mackio's as possible.

Perhaps the first major point of evidence supporting this would be the "comprehensive, bipartisan" legislation which Secretary of Defense nominee, JenniferHartson, has just released to the public. Hartson states, "I want to get as much feedback and critical analysis on this legislation as possible, before it goes into Congress for voting . . . I know that otherwise, it will face intense opposition from many individuals." On that cryptic note, Hartson released the text for the legislation, dubbed "PEMRAA" for the Preliminary Enrichment Military Reformation and Addition Act of 2015.

The legislation itself only appropriates two new groups to be added to the United States Military: an Armed Forces group which would include the ranks E1 to O10, and a SOCOM (Special Operations) group which would include ranks for different units that soldiers would be assigned to. The legislation also specifies new ranking for the pre-existing United States Army group, which would be divided into different corps and leadership positions.

Numerous military analysts are extremely critical of this legislation and claim it is "unorthodox". In a retort, Hartson states "All 'standard' applications of the military in our USA's past have failed. I believe it's time for some unconventional thinking."
